definitions of antisemitism
For each definition of antisemitism we give the issuer, the date, the structure of the text, a summary in our words and a link to the official text. We list first the definitions that city documents adopt, cite or debate, each with the number of documents that name it among the plans, strategies, council decisions and office mandates on antisemitism that we collected from local governments. After them come the definitions issued by governments, international bodies, community organisations and scholars that no local government in our collection has adopted.
We counted with a text search of the saved documents, so a count shows only that a document names a definition. A document may name a definition to adopt it, to set it aside or to describe a debate. We list the decisions to adopt the IHRA definition, with their dates, under IHRA adoptions. We link each definition at its official source. For a public document we also give a PDF copy; for a copyrighted work we give the citation and links to the publisher and to library catalogues. We compare the features of the definitions under Features of definitions and Definitions over time.
This chart lists every definition, oldest first. Gold marks a definition that city documents name, and beside it we list the local plans that adopt it, as the coder read them. Click a name to read its summary below.

This is a work in progress. Corrections and definitions we have missed are welcome.
